Liz Bowen

Liz Bowen is a writer and literary scholar living with multiple chronic illnesses in New York. Her first poetry collection, Sugarblood, was published by Metatron Press in 2017, and her work can be found in journals including Boston Review, Cosmonauts Avenue, The Atlas Review, Dream Pop Press, and glitterMOB. She is a Ph.D. candidate in English and comparative literature at Columbia University, where she is working on a dissertation project that traces disability and animality as intertwined sites of literary experimentation in the eras of eugenics and neo-eugenics. She also teaches undergraduate writing and cares for a pit bull named Rosie / Rosemary / Roseanne / toothangel.
